Maria is a London-based environmental artist whose work focuses on river plastic pollution and public engagement. Her landmark 2016 project Future Dust (2016) began with a collaboration with King's College London, where she collected plastic waste along the Thames and created a luminous installation of 'footprints'.

This experience reflects her close ties with King's College London and her profound understanding of the River Thames as both a cultural and ecological space. More significantly, the technique of transforming recycled plastic materials into art installations lies at the very heart of this exhibition.

Consequently, under the shared experience and philosophy of KCL and plastic art, she stands as the ideal collaborative artist for the Frozen Plastic: Re Blue It project.
